The cover cap rotates to cover the beak of the hummingbird which is the actual threader and inserts through the eye of your needle—there is a tiny hook to capture the thread on the threader so you can pull your thread through the eye. The thread cutter is on the back of the neck. Belly has an indent to fit your finger for easy holding. And there is even a lanyard hole so you can attach your Hummingbird Needle Threader to your tote or chatelaine.
